Leadership
Presbyterian congregations are governed by Ruling (lay persons) and Teaching (clergy) Elders who together are called a “session.” The FPC Session typically meets on the last Monday of the month. Elders are elected annually by the congregation of FPC Kerrville and, together with our pastors, exercise leadership, government, spiritual discernment, and discipline. They are responsible for nurturing the faith of our congregation through worship, education, and service.

Those who lead with vision
Ruling elders (as defined by our Book of Order) exercise leadership, government, spiritual discernment, and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of the congregation, as well as the whole church, including ecumenical relationships. Our elders lead committees for each of our ministry areas including: operations, faith formation, engagement, mission and worship.
