The children who make up the choir that meets every Wednesday afternoon have voted to call themselves Kids of the Kingdom Choir”.  There were several names suggested, but the vote was almost unanimous for this name.  The KKChoir will be heard for the first time at the 11:00 service Sunday, March 30, singing “Hymn of Promise”.

In other news regarding this choir, they continue learning the first verses of the “Heart Hymns” which began nine weeks ago.  The hymns were selected by Pastors John and Rob with two contributed by Tim Wilborn and Sally Ritch.  Want to know which hymns were deemed “great”?  Here they are in no particular order—see if your favorite is included:    Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee, All Things Bright and Beautiful, Be Thou My Vision, Love Divine, All Loves Excelling, This is My Father’s World; Our God, Our Help in Ages Past; Jesus Christ Is Risen Today; God Is Here; Great Is Thy Faithfulness; For All the Saints; Here I Am, Lord; Holy, Holy, Holy; All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name; A Mighty Fortress Is Our God; Amazing Grace; Though I May Speak; Rejoice, the Lord Is King; God of the Sparrow; Lift High the Cross; and When We Are Living.

At this time Brock Bileiter and Bailey Havis lead the memorization achievers with ten hymns, for which they've received movie passes as reward!  The children have to sing the first verse, from memory, by themselves.  How many can you sing from memory?
