We would like to welcome you to the 2008 Currie Enrichment Series hosted in Kerrville, Texas by the First Presbyterian Church.

This year, we are proud to present our series guest speaker Dr. Louis H. Zbinden, Jr., Pastor Emeritus of First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, TX.

Dr. Zbinden has impacted San Antonio with a renewed evangelism and greater outreach of the Church to the community. The San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries (SAMM) started by Dr. Zbinden is a year-round shelter designed to not only give housing, but to educate and equip many to become again self-supporting.  Kerrville’s Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) also has seen the help of Dr. Zbinden’s leadership. These affiliations of churches have created visible signs of God’s love for all people and provide refuge. That outreach has continued to grow, and for the past five years he and his wife have traveled to Lusaka, Zambia. There, Dr. Zbinden teaches at the Theological College. Mrs. Kip Zbinden teaches classes and works within the native community.

Dr. Zbinden is on the faculty of the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, serving as the First Chaired Professor of Pastoral Leadership. He has spoken to congregations throughout the United States, as well as Presbyterian Mo-Ranch and HEB Laity Lodge.
